Dates, Times, Locations for the Rewilding Apprenticeship ...

Please Note: The 2017 apprenticeship is now underway. If you are interested in participating in a future apprenticeship please get in touch (use my regular email address - and I will add you to a mailing list specific to Sacred Ecology: A Rewilding Apprenticeship.

The apprenticeship will be spread over 3 long weekends and a week-long. It will also include 3 individual mentoring sessions, one between each of the meet-ups. In addition there will be an email peer support group for discussions and questions which will be moderated by Rachel Corby. The apprenticeship will be limited to a maximum of 10 participants.

All of the sessions are fully catered with delicious home prepared vegetarian fare; which, where possible, is grown and gathered on the land where we stay.

All of the sessions are residential. The weekends are on a camping basis (please bring your own tent and camping equipment). A list of local B&Bs can be supplied on request although it is strongly recommended that you camp and thus remain close to the land and within the wild dream. During the week-long there is the option of staying inside the farm house (there are seven bedrooms, so you may have to share if everyone opts to stay inside). Alternatively you may camp (again you will require your own tent and camping equipment). One night will involve sleeping under the stars.

Brook End our weekend venue, is nestled in Avalon a few miles from Glastonbury. It is a family run and owned permaculture small holding of 4 acres. It is furnished with a mature orchard, woodland, stream and pond; as well as productive herb and vegetable gardens, greenhouses and a polytunnel. There are compost loos, a horsebox shower, a sauna and a basic kitchen.

Werganrose Farm is located on the stunning Gower peninsular in South Wales. It is set within 35 acres of land which includes a 2 acre lake, natural forest, wild flower meadow and a 10 acre private nature reserve. Please note the farm also has pasture land so there are horses, goats, dogs and cats present in certain areas.

Rachel Corby, will be coordinating and holding the space for this process, and will be joined by a selection of expert guest tutors.

As much as possible our classroom will be outside in the sweet wild meadow, or perhaps cooling in the shade of ancient gnarled trees, or alongside the breeze ruffled waters. The classes will be experiential, you will learn (or unlearn!), through what you do, what you feel.

An experience on the other hand, can be denied and even forgotten, but it cannot be unexperienced. Experience changes you forever. Eliot Cowan

There will be no diplomas awarded but what you will gain is what your soul has been yearning for.
